A live test weekend is best treated like a working session, not a scoreboard contest. Before you spend time comparing options such as MW4 Boosting, get a feel for what the game is actually asking of you. Progression is active, with the current level cap set at 20, and there's enough available to fill a solid evening. The map list includes Rooftops, Silkworm, Transit 213, Cachette, Lotus, and Kill Block. You've also got Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, Gunfight versions on Kill Block, the Mobility Course, and the "Entrenched" campaign mission.
Start With Movement
Give yourself the first 15 to 20 minutes to settle in. The Mobility Course works well for this, though a quieter multiplayer match can do the job too. Don't worry about kills yet. Check your sensitivity, dead zones, and button layout. Run, slide, climb, then aim straight after landing. You'll notice pretty quickly whether Tac Sprint feels natural or whether it keeps pulling you out of position. That small adjustment matters more than forcing yourself through several rough matches with settings that don't fit.
Play Different Map Types
After warming up, move through two or three core matches on different maps. Rooftops may reward patience and careful elevation checks, while Transit 213 can push you into faster fights. Cachette and Lotus are worth using as comparison points because routes can feel very different from one another. Pay attention to Ballistic Authority while tracking targets across open lanes. Don't just fire and move on. Watch how shots behave at range, especially when an opponent changes height or ducks behind cover. Those little moments tell you more than a single strong scoreline.
Use Kill Block as a Reset
Set aside one proper block for Kill Block. Its changing layout is the point, so don't fall into the habit of running the same opening route every round. Stop at corners. Look up. Check where a new wall or sightline has changed the usual approach. Gunfight is useful here because there isn't much room to drift through a match half-focused. You either read the space or get caught out. It can feel frustrating at first, but that's usually when you're learning the most about timing and map awareness.
Keep Notes for Tomorrow
End with "Entrenched" if you haven't played it, or take two minutes to write down three things that stood out. Maybe your aim felt steadier after lowering sensitivity. Maybe one map had a route you kept missing. If you're also weighing MW4 Boosting for sale, keep that separate from your own early impressions, since the live build may still change before October 23. Short notes are enough. They give your next session a clear starting point.
